GT Cup Series 2026: 7 race weekends across 5 European circuits
The GT Cup Series enters a new racing season and will bring seven race weekends across circuits in five Central European countries. The championship will once again feature a combination of sprint and endurance races for GT and LMP cars and welcome both professional and amateur drivers. The new season will begin in April at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
The new season builds on the success of previous years and promises exciting battles on track, a diverse starting grid and the organizational backing of the FIA Central European Zone. Drivers and teams will compete at well-known racing circuits, with the goal of delivering high-quality motorsport events while also creating opportunities for driver development mainly in GT racing.
Over the past years, GT Cup Series has established a strong position among regional GT championships and has become a platform where experienced teams, talented drivers, newcomers and motorsport fans come together. The series offers a combination of a professional racing environment, accessibility for private teams and an attractive programme for spectators.
The 2026 calendar consists of seven race weekends across five countries, combining traditional venues with the return of popular circuits. As mentioned, the season will begin in mid-April at the Red Bull Ring, where drivers will face a race weekend featuring both sprint and endurance competition.
One of the news of the calendar is the return of the Croatian Grobnik Circuit, which was part of the series in the past and comes back after several years. It will be followed by the first of two events at Slovakia Ring, featuring a special format with three-hour endurance racing.
In the second half of the season, the grid will also visit well-known circuits such as Autodrom Most and Autodrom Brno: Masaryk Circuit, both of which are traditional venues for the series. The season finale, as one of the highlights of the season, will take place at the legendary Hungaroring at the end of October, returning to the calendar after a short break and welcoming drivers to its modernised facilities.

- July 31–August 2: Most, Czech Republic
- August 21–23: Slovakia Ring, Slovakia

- October 23–25: Hungaroring, Hungary
GT Cup Series is an international championship within the Central European region, run according to FIA sporting and technical regulations and providing a platform for both professional and amateur drivers competing in GT categories. The series also serves as an environment where emerging talents can gain experience and build the connections necessary for further development in circuit racing.
The 2026 season therefore promises a diverse grid, strong competition and exciting racing at some of the most interesting circuits in the region. Fans can once again look forward to weekends filled with high-performance GT cars, dramatic races and the atmosphere of true circuit motorsport.
