The first Sprint race of the GT Cup Series at Balaton Park saw a dominant performance from Przemysław Bieńkowski in the Mercedes-AMG GT3, while in GT4 the victory went to Matyas Faiereisl in the BMW M4 GT4.
Bieńkowski, racing for PTT Racing, started from pole position and held the lead through the opening corners, immediately building a gap over the chasing pack.
Roman Roubíček, in a Praga, finished second overall, with Benedek Major third in the Lotus Exige, leading the GTX class. Right behind him was Bob Bau in a Porsche 911, who topped the GTC class. Second in GTC was Kálmán Bódis in another Porsche 911.
In GT4, Petr Koukola made a strong start in the Aston Martin and led the opening lap, but he was soon overtaken by Matyas Faiereisl in the BMW M4 GT4, who went on to win the class. Third in GT4 was Iztok Armič in the Mercedes-AMG GT4.
