Przemysław Bieńkowski closed out the GT Cup season at Balaton Park with victory in Sprint Race 2, extending his winning streak in Hungary. In GT4, Matyas Faiereisl added another win to his tally.
Bieńkowski started from pole position in his Mercedes-AMG GT3 and led from start to finish, taking the chequered flag ahead of Roman Roubíček in the Praga R1. Third overall was Benedek Major, who also won the GTX class in his Lotus Exige.
Bob Bau had been leading the GTC class, but he slipped on the oil from Lotus ahead of him and ended up in gravel trap just minutes before the finish. For safety reasons, the race was red-flagged with one minute to go. Despite the stoppage, Bau was classified as the winner in GTC.
In GT4, Faiereisl also continued his winning streak, bringing the Šenkýř Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 home first ahead of Petr Koukola in the Aston Martin. Third place in class went to Iztok Armič in the LEMA Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4. Local driver Kálmán Bódis finished eighth overall and second in the GTX class.
