The final GT Cup Sprint race at Automotodrom Brno produced thrilling battles across a packed field. Rudolf Beňo from Aries Racing edged won by just 0.110 seconds, while the GT4 class delivered an even closer finish, with Dobroslav Kárník from Šenkýř Motorsport winning by 0.091 seconds.
As the day before, the grid of more than 30 cars provided a spectacular show for the grandstands. The GT Cup Series race also featured entries from the P9 Challenge and Sports Car Challenge.
On the front row were Marco Fink and Miro Konopka, with Timo Scheibner and Petr Fulín behind them, followed by Benni Hotz and Piotr Wira. The rolling start was clean and the entire field made it safely through the opening corners.
In GT3, Fulín took the early lead with Wira in second, but Beňo quickly worked his way through the pack and soon closed up on Fulín’s rear wing, setting up a fight for the class victory. Just behind the GT3 leaders, Dennis Waszek led the GTX class in his Lamborghini Super Trofeo, chased closely by Jack Russel in a KTM.
Meanwhile, Konopka fought Scheibner for overall second place but was forced off the track to avoid contact with his BMW. He dropped down the order but managed to escape the gravel and continue. Later, when trying to pass Wira, the Polish driver seemingly failed to spot the LMP3 prototype and was sent into the tire barriers after contact, while Konopka continued unharmed.
In the end, Beňo narrowly beat Fulín in a dramatic photo finish to take the GT3 victory, the margin just 0.110 seconds. The GT4 class was no less intense, with Kárník in a BMW snatching the win from Miroslav Mikeš in a Mercedes, while Matyáš Faiereisl completed the podium. All three finished within one second. Martin Hudec took fourth in another Mercedes and Petr Koukola rounded out the top five in an Aston Martin.
The GTC class was once again dominated by Lamborghini Super Trofeos, with Josef Záruba pulling clear of his teammate Jakub Knoll to take the win. Third place went to Petr Kačírek in a Porsche 911, with Bob Bau finishing fourth.
In GTX, Dennis Waszek again climbed to the top step of the podium with his Lamborghini Super Trofeo, finishing ahead of Jack Russel and Max Grip.
