The second sprint race of the GT Cup Series at Slovakia Ring was won by local driver Rudolf Beňo in a BMW M4 GT3. He made a great start and never looked back, adding a sprint win to his Saturday endurance victory.

The start of the race had to be postponed after Antal Zsigo lost control of his BMW while trying to warm up the tyres on the formation lap and crashed into the barriers. The red flag was shown and the cars returned to the grid to restart.

After the delay, the race got underway again. Dennis Waszek made a lightning start, charging from seventh on the grid to lead into the first corner. In GT3, Beňo took the class lead ahead of Petr Fulín in the Audi.

In GTX, Jack Russel briefly ran second with his KTM, but he spun off track and came to a stop in a dangerous position. Luckily, he was able to continue without the need for a safety car. Waszek held the GTX lead but was soon pressured by Filip Sládečka, who then pushed Waszek off the track and out of the race and taking the lead in the GTX, second was Coach McKansy, with Max Grip in third. However, Grip also ended up in the gravel and retired, promoting Ondřej Rokos in KTM to third and Russel to fourth.

In GT3, Beňo drove a flawless race. Once in front, he pulled clear gap to Fulín by 2.5 seconds, with Piotr Wira finishing third in his Mercedes.

In GT4, Grega Simunovic dominated in his Audi, finishing 16 seconds ahead of Petr Koukola’s Aston Martin GT4. In GTC1, Bob Bau once again won the class and leaves Slovakia Ring unbeaten, with Kálmán Bódis second. In D5, Miro Konopka triumphed with his Ligier LMP3.
