Slovakian driver Rudolf Beňo, racing a BMW M4 GT3 for Aries Team, claimed victory in the GT3 class during the sprint race, despite serving a drive-through penalty. His win marked a strong start to the GT Cup Series’ opening weekend. In the GTX class, Jack Russel secured the win.

Rudolf Beňo and Antonín Herbeck started from the front row, with Herbeck initially surging into the lead. However, he slowed dramatically at the exit of Turn 1 and dropped to the back of the field. Although he managed to continue, he later spun at the exit of Turn 7.

Beňo dropped to fourth overall but maintained the lead in the GT3 class. At the front of the race, Timo Scheiber from the P9 Challenge Series took the overall lead, followed by Jack Russel in a KTM X-BOW GT2, who led the GTX class.

In the GT4 category, Martin Hudec, driving Buggyra ZM Racing´s Mercedes, once again led the race. Close behind him was Oleksandr Kosohov in a Porsche from GT Sports Technology, locked in a tight battle for the class lead.

Beňo was handed a drive-through penalty for an incorrect starting position. Despite this setback, he retained the GT3 lead, as Antal Zsigo was a long way behind and Piotr Wira in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 retired after a visit to the pits.

Hudec fought to defend his GT4 lead from Troy Sovička, who was just behind in with his Lotus Emira. Sovička took advantage of traffic from faster classes to make his move in Turn 10 and briefly held the lead. However, Hudec reclaimed the top spot later in the race and took another class win for Buggyra ZM Racing. Sovička from Blue Garage Racing finished second, while Petr Koukola in an Aston Martin GT4 snatched third place with a late overtake on the final lap on Kosohov.

In the GTX class, Jack Russel once again took victory in the KTM, followed by Christian Wimberger in a Lamborghini Huracán, with Russel’s teammate Max Grip finishing third. Meanwhile, the GTC1 class was once again dominated by Bob Bau of the Trencar Racing Team.
